Winning visibility on a signature dish

A Nice restaurant known for its signature dish: how it ranked for ‘best [dish]’ instead of competing in the saturated category.

A Nice restaurant, known for a signature dish yet buried under "best restaurant Nice". "The best soufflé / burger / house speciality" is far less contested — and that is where it won. Here is what we observed:

The method

  1. Identify your 2–3 signature dishes (the ones you are already recommended for).
  2. Structure: Menu + MenuItem in schema.org, named, with prices.
  3. Anchor them in content, reviews and local press.
  4. Measure at dish level (prompts: "best [dish] in [city]").

Why it works

AI fan-out rewards coverage of precise intents, and the dish granularity is less competitive and easier to structure than the category level.

The key takeaway: a restaurant is discovered by dish and by occasion — a granularity no tool built for hospitality knows how to track. RestoRank does.
